Landmark Forest Adventure Park

Landmark Forest Adventure Park is a theme park with a difference! With fun, discovery and adventure for all ages, there’s no shortage of exciting outdoor activities: rock climbing, ‘skydiving’, flume ride, rare red squirrels scampering through the trees, the Ropeworx high wire challenge, the “Tarzan Trail” (nearer ground level), a walk high off the ground through the tops of tall pine trees, a working steam powered sawmill, the huge Firetower with panoramic views from the top, and the chance to discover the hidden microscopic universe of Scotland's ancient pine forest.

The Adventure Park is located at just off the A9 at Carrbridge, 23 miles south of Inverness and 7 miles north of Aviemore. It is reasonably priced, and is open throughout the year, although some attractions close for the winter.

Camera Obscura and World of Illusions

Edinburgh’s Camera Obscura and World of Illusions dates from 1835 and is one the most unique visitor attractions in Scotland. Each of its five floors has something exciting to see and do for all ages.

The Victorian camera obscura shows fascinating real-time views of Edinburgh such as people walking along Princes Street, Arthur’s Seat and the Forth Bridges beyond.

The rooftop views are spectacular and provide panoramic views of the city and surrounding countryside stretching off miles into the distance. There are also free telescopes and information panels to help identify the sites.

The World of Illusions is a unique trip through the many ways light plays tricks on our eyes. Experiment with mirrors, lenses, shadow walls and kaleidoscopes to change your body shape, make things disappear,

The Camera Obscura is a highly popular attraction for families many of whom come back again and again. It is open throughout the year, seven days a week.
