Inveraray Accommodation

Inveraray is a well-established and popular destination on the Scottish tourist trail and whether you stay for a couple of days or a week or two, there is plenty of quality accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.

Because of Inveraray’s popularity, especially during peak season, it’s best to book your accommodation well in advance.


The George Hotel

The George Hotel dates from 1770 and lies right in the heart of Inveraray. Its interior has many original features such as flagstone floors, and its wooden panelling and roaring log fires just add to the cosy, friendly atmosphere. Its award winning menus feature the best in fresh, local produce and its homemade specialities are reasonably priced and its 17 carefully restored bedrooms are a tasteful mix of old and new, many featuring wooden floors and Jacuzzis.

Loch Fyne Hotel

The 3 star Loch Fyne Hotel offers luxury accommodation and excellent facilities including a spa. Its restaurant, bar and bistro offer the best in local ales and seafood, and all are served by friendly, attentive staff. With beautiful views from the terrace and most rooms, it is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Argyll Hotel

The Argyll Hotel is a 3 star hotel that has pride of place right on the front at Inveraray over looking Loch Fyne and the magnificent surrounding mountains. It’s original log fires make the tastefully refurbished lounges very cosy and inviting, and all of its bedrooms are en-suite some with disabled access.

First House Hotel

The First House Hotel (formerly the Fernpoint Hotel) was the first house to be built in Inveraray and as such is full of charm and character. Most of its 8 rooms have loch views and breakfast is included in the room price. In spite of its lack of restaurant or bar, it is affilliated to the George Hotel just round the corner where all meals are served in the conservatory, bar or restaurant, although continental breakfast can be served in your room.

Rudha-Na-Craige House

Rudha-Na-Craige House is a beautiful Victorian house overlooking the picturesque Loch Fyne with its rolling hills backdrop. In 2006, it was completely restored to its former glory and modernised to provide 'Luxury Four Star Accommodation'.

Brambles Guest House

The Brambles Guest House & Restaurant having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, combines traditional charm with modern efficiency. Centrally located in the picturesque town of Inveraray.

Claonairigh House

Claonairigh House (pronounced “cloonery”) is a 3 star bed and breakfast and the oldest building in the area. It is set in beautiful surroundings with a salmon river, waterfall and ducks and geese roaming the gardens. All rooms have full facilities including Wi-Fi access and are very reasonably priced.

Killean Farmhouse

Killean Farmhouse is a 5 bedroom converted farmhouse surrounded by wonderful scenery and picturesque gardens. The 3 star farmhouse accommodation comprises en-suite rooms. Also available on site are 7 cottages accommodating up to 9 people. Dogs are welcome and breakfast is served in the Main House.

Creag Dubh

Creag Dubh lies a short walking distance from Inveraray and offers well priced, 4 star country house accommodation with views of Loch Fyne. Its 5 bedrooms are all en-suite and have excellent facilities including internet connection.


Ardtorna is a brand new purpose built luxury Bed and Breakfast set in a beautiful location with stunning views, between Oban and Appin on the West Coast of Scotland.


Paymasters House

Situated on Inveraray’s Main Street, the Paymasters House has five, 4 star luxury apartments accommodating between 2-7 people. Each apartment is fully fitted with tradition modern appliances and traditional furnishings, and are available for one night, weekend or week long stays.


Arkland holiday accommodation has two flats in a Georgian building in a secluded part of Inveraray town. Both flats are a home from home with cosy interiors and full facilities. The ground floor flat has easy access for those with disabilities.

Killean Farmhouse

Killean Farmhouse’s seven self-catering cottages were originally working farm buildings, each one refurbished with excellent facilities for weekend, short break or holiday stays. Prices are very reasonable and there is the option of breakfast in the main farmhouse.

Caravan Park

The Argyll Caravan Park lies 2½ miles from Inveraray in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Luxury caravans are available April-October and touring caravans are welcome. The park’s amenities include bar, diner, recreation area, and swing park, and throughout the park are stunning wood carvings. An ideal base for touring, sightseeing, walking and fishing.

Youth Hostel

Inveraray Youth Hostel is a small, friendly hostel rated 4 stars by its customers, with good transport links, disabled access, internet access, nearby shops and 28 beds.
